I completed my Bachelor's degree in Psychobiology at UCLA, where I excelled in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Calculus, Chemistry, Immunology, Physiology, Anatomy, Psychology, advanced English, and Communications. After graduating, I performed research on neonatal brain development at UCSF, and am currently applying for pharmacy school. From my past experiences, I have grown to love teaching younger students and determining what are the best ways for each of them to learn. I have worked at 2 premier tutoring centers where I taught English writing and reading comprehension of all levels , math levels from kindergarten up to Pre-Calculus, Chemistry, and Biology. I am also equipped to help students prepare for standardized tests, including the CAHSEE, PSAT, and SAT. Additionally, I have mentored high school students on how to gain admission into top-level universities by editing their personal statements and reviewing the application process with them. My teaching philosophy is: "give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime". I believe that the same applies to teaching and mentoring students of all ages. When we give them the tools to succeed personally and academically, there is nothing that they won't be able to accomplish!
